Computer Architect and Author

Thanks for visiting chez moi. This site contains resources relating to who I am and what I do that is computing and non-computing related. I started my first degree aged 13 and am often described as a computer geek, although I also enjoy a wide range of non-computing related activities, including running, sailing, hiking, traveling, playing the violin, and singing semi-professionally. Professionally, I am Chief ARM Architect at Red Hat (though all opinions and content on this website are my own).

My writing includes a regular technical column for Linux User & Developer, and others from time to time. I am a published author with titles such as Professional Linux Programming (Wrox), Building Embedded Linux Systems (O'Reilly), and the upcoming "Porting Linux" to my name.

flickr has various photos. You can also connect with me using @jonmasters on all of the usual social networks.
