    Some questions ….

Why do you travel so much?
Can you justify the environmental impact?
You’re not going home for christmas?!

  2. Anon says:

Good to see that you’re hastening the destruction of the environment thanks to the immense pollution caused by plane travel.

Jon is a fairly clued European and has been trained into taking trains where they exist, eg. see above NYCWashington and Montreal->Ottawa and previously things like the trans-Canadian and MontrealNYC lines.

The IATA cartel^W pricing regimes unfortunately frequently mean that it’s cheaper (in monetary-terms, definately not environmental) to travel London->Germany/Canada/Washington/Schipol->New York than to go directly.

The point I was going to make is whether JCM has worked out the sub-3 hour New York La Guardia->JFK transfer. It was about 3miles cycle-ride from the nearest Subway/metro station when I was there, but I think there were buses that also did the connection and possibly a direct transfer service.

    Greetings from Helsinki…
